Letchworth Tennis Club

Letchworth Tennis Club is proud to be able to offer local tennis players some of the best tennis facilities in the country, having moved to its new £2 million state-of-the-art tennis centre. The new development, which has been in the planning for over 10 years includes the construction of four floodlit outdoor courts surfaced with MatchPlay II.

“MatchPlay II was in use for 12 years at our previous site and it still played well despite high usage. It was preferred to other surfaces like artificial grass and macadam for its playability and impact cushioning , we also found that the surface was low maintenance. The four new courts surfaced in MatchPlay II have now been in use for over a year and are playing very well in all weathers - even 30 minutes after torrential rain!”
